Let's All Just Take A Nap

I spent time in my sewing room today...my messy, really needs a complete overhaul sewing room.
I just sorta closed my eyes to the clutter and cut, pressed, and sewed and had lots of fun!
The laundry is not folded...the floors need vacuuming and mopping...and bathrooms need...
You get the picture...I'll do all that tomorrow.
Today, I sewed like I haven't done in a long time!

I made four really cute pillowcases for my next door neighbor's granddaughter.
As I wrote in my last post, the little girl is starting kindergarten and needs a pillowcase or four for her nap time pillow.
Who would't want to sleep with butterflies and flowers above?
Or
In Paris, below?

How about "Once Upon a Time" story land?

Some days "snoozing owls" will be just perfect!

Night all...

  2. No sleeping is going to get done with those pompoms, unless by accident. Too cute.

  3. Thank you, Jeannine :)

Thanks, Barbara :) I agree...the pompoms were all granny's idea. :) Yesterday when granny and the little girl came by to pickup the goods those little fingers went straight to the pompoms...like magnets. I see them being all pulled off within the first 6 weeks of school! hahaha

  4. Okay, I am trying this again, my comment from yesterday disappeared..
Love the blouse on you... so flattering, Also, I love the pillows and the toad in the post below... I "entered" my sewing room and discovered under a pile of iron my and mend me things, a swing dress I never finished for Madelyn. So, I ironed, mended, and bagged up things and set my Pandora on while I finished her new "summer" dress. I think she'll wear it this Sunday to Mass. I'll try to snap a picture of her in it. I actually made two of them.. way back in March.. I finished the smaller one for my niece, and just now made it back in to sew up the rest of Madelyns. Have a great weekend!

  7. What a gret way to display feature fabrics, a lucky little girl. I may try to replicate the Paris pillow for my daughter - if I can locate the fabric. Wonderful sewing

  8. Thanks, Martha :) the Gay Parie was our favorite also! :)

Thanks, DawnB :) Yes, kids love pillowcases - I used to make them out of truck and train fabrics for my little boys years ago. My mom makes pillowcases for a local Hospice organization. The families and patients really appreciate a new fresh pillow case.

Thank you, 5BentNeedles :) All these fabrics were purchased either at Hobby Lobby or Hancocks.

  9. Ooohhh! Too cute. Makes me want to drag out the stash and start making more pillowcases. I made Minnie Mouse cases for our grandgirl and a friend's grandgirl. Embroidered their names on the border strip. Fun and fast to make. They loved them.
